Saline Salutes its Main Street Volunteers and more…

For all of you Saline Main Street fans, the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce is providing an extraordinary venue for all of us in our community to publicly thank those who give so much of themselves.
I’m referring, of course, to “Saline Salutes.” This year some of Saline’s most outstanding citizens – Jill Durnen -Citizen of the Year, Dr. Joseph Lubuta – Lifetime Achievement, Cindy Czubko – George A. Anderson Vision, and Maura McCann – Youth of the Year, will be honored at our annual “Saline Salutes” gala for their volunteering efforts and more.
Please help insure the continuing success of our community by coming to “Saline Salutes” and joining us in thanking our richly deserving honorees. It’s exceptional people like these who make Saline such a great place to live, work, and play.
RSVP – Mary Alice Smith 734-429-4494 or register online – https://www.salinechamber.org/?module=Events&view=list
Hope to see many of you there. Karen Ragland

About Route '12 to Main Street

Route '12 to Main Street is sponsored by the Saline Historic Downtown Alliance (SHDA), a new non-profit entity focused on the revitalization of Downtown Saline for the benefit of the entire community. SHDA, with the support of the City of Saline and the EDC, is applying to become a Main Street community through the Michigan Main Street Center. It is a competitive process and over the next seven months, volunteers are working hard to prepare for the application process by educating the community, recruiting volunteers and gaining support. Benefits to become a 'Selected' Main Street community through the Michigan Main Street Center program are 5 years of technical training, design services, and increased public awareness for our community. Benefits of having a comprehensive Downtown revitalization strategy are even more, and we will be talking about these advantages in upcoming blogs.
